Fallen 44

We often hear: “teaching is the noblest profession”.

Hell, we even hear, “lawyering is the noblest profession”.

But we’ve never heard: “being a soldier is the noblest profession”.

Well there’s a reason for that. Being a soldier is not a profession. It is a conviction.

And we salute all those who are serving, all the uniformed men and women who work day and night just so we can live our lives just like any other free country.

Our fallen countrymen will never be forgotten. They shall have their place in the stars with the likes of Rizal and Bonifacio.

No words can express how we ordinary men and women sympathize with the family of these brave soldiers. But we are one with you.
